Why is my back sore after deadlifiting?

By Scott Herman in Injuries · Published

It is probably due to improper form.

The deadlift is not an exercise just for the back, but many different muscles. A sore back probably means you're not keeping your back straight, and are not using your core and legs to lift the weight.

It could just be DOMS, but if it is more like a sharp, stinging pain, it is probably worse.

Learn the proper technique for the DEADLIFT, to avoid damaging your spine and/or posture.
